Here we only refer to Sony Cyber-Shot series recording AVCHD/MP4 format, AVI MPEG Motion(Cyber-shot DSC-W530) isn't in the issue. You can easily find your Cyber-Shot mode and know clearly what format it recording and whether it support AVCHD and MP4 both. Supposed you have an iMac version 10.6.8 & you're trying to transfer HD videos to iPhoto but it doesn't even recognize that there are any. You've searched around but can't find any solid answers.
