Import Lumix DMC-G2 AVCHD Lite to QuickTime Player

Just purchased a Panasonic Lumix digital camera for me. It can record HD Video as well as photos. When I do an import to FCE, it does not import the videos, The videos will import with iMovie though. Is there a way to get FCE to import the videos?
